{We have very sadly seen a couple of cases of canine parvovirus in practice recently.|Recently, we have seen two cases of canine Parvovirus.|In recent times, we’ve seen some very sad cases of the canine parvovirus.} {Canine parvovirus causes dogs to become weak and dehydrated and can be fatal.|Canine parvovirus can cause dogs to become dehydrated and weak. It is also fatal.|Canine Parvovirus can make dogs weak and dehydrated, and even cause death.} {Symptoms can include really nasty-smelling diarrhoea with blood in it, vomiting, lethargy, fever and collapse.|The symptoms can include a really bad-smelling, bloody diarrhoea, nausea, lethargy and fever.|Diarrhoea that smells really foul and contains blood, vomiting, lethargy or fever are all symptoms.} {The virus is very contagious and is transmitted from contact with contaminated bodily fluids.|The virus is highly contagious, and spreads through contact with bodily fluids that are contaminated.|The virus can be spread by contact with contaminated body fluids.} {It can survive in the environment outside the body for up to six months, which means that dog walking areas can harbour the virus and we can even inadvertently spread the virus on our shoes, clothes and even hands.|The virus can survive outside the body up to six month, so dog walking areas and our hands, shoes and clothes can all be infected.|It can survive for up to 6 months outside of the body, meaning that areas where dogs are walked can harbor the virus. For some, the virus may prove fatal.|We can offer supportive care to parvovirus-infected dogs, but unfortunately there is no cure. Some of these viruses are fatal.}
